The culprit. The sweetest, sickly scent ever. Not for everyone.

As I’m typing this, I’m totally immersed in the sweetest coconut vanilla scented lotion ever and I kid you not. I can’t stop sniffing myself.

I know, it’s sick but like I care. Nobody’s looking and I assume there’s no hidden cameras around so nobody is going to post me sniffing myself on Youtube. The stuff smell so good I could almost eat myself. Yeah, it’s the ‘time of the month‘ again and I get this insane craving for sweet things. The Vanilla stuff I ordered from Victoria Secret arrived by mail today.

I suddenly felt so motivated to take my shower and smother myself with this sickly sweet coconut scent. I guess if you don’t like coconut + sweet smell, you will definitely hate this lotion. Even my mother can’t stand the smell. Said I reminded her of the fresh coconut milk she put inside her curry. Blek.

My husband works in another state and will only come home for the weekends. I told him of my new lotion and he’s already complaining over the phone.

Why the heck would anyone want to smell like a coconut?”

Why not? He’s afterall a big admirer of big coconut boobs. So how would I know?

The Orange Vanilla bodywash on the other hand is lighter and more subtle. It smells nice without being overwhelming. So unless you’re a hardcore sweet Vanilla fan, just stick to the VS Orange Vanilla range.

false-eyelashes.jpg

I have a new fetish - false eyelashes. I am totally hook on my few pairs of false eyelashes. Honestly, I used to think only models and hookers wear false eyelashes…. I was wrong, OK? Works just as well on boring housewives… like me.

I know putting on those falsies sounds complicating. I can tell you once you get the hang of things, it is really quite easy. It is faster than putting on eyeliners and applying coats and coats of mascara to get the same effect. Well, I’m pushing it here. The truth is, no matter how many coats of mascara you put on, you still won’t get close to the same effect. You can dream about having lush lashes if you’re Chinese. Chinese are notorious for having sparse pathetic lashes. These falsies will save the day.

Personally, I go for the cheapest falsies. I bought some expensive ones and a few cheap ones. I cannot tell the difference. So what is the point?

Go for cheap lashes but don’t skimp on those lash glue. I bought a good lash glue so it won’t hurt my eyelids. The glue works great and so far those lashes stay put. I’ve not lost any out in the street.

I love face powder. I cannot live without it. My face will shine no matter what the foundation says how matte it’s supposed to be. Yes, I do swear by foundation and honestly, anyone over 25 with not-so-good skin should be wearing one. It helps minimize those annoying lines that is like ugly stripes of honour indicating you have lived long enough.

Anyway, for some weird reason, compact face powders just don’t cut it. My face is oily again fast and when I powder too often, it gets too thick. It’ll be OK under candlelight but daylight? Nay.

I always use a talcum powder to powder my face but recently I found this Magic face powder that looks like talcum powder from SilkyGirl. Dang, love it to bits. It effectively minimize the shine on my face and it cost RM3.90. Beat that.

My only complain? I know the thing is cheap but it’ll help if it doesn’t smell as well. The talcum perfume is screaming cheap and it’s awful. But then nobody is going to sniff my face, right? Except my dog of course but then he can’t complain.

sweetcraving.jpg

I am lately hit with this sudden insane need to be enveloped in the vanilla scent 24/7. Yep, it’s driving my hubby crazy. No, not in a good sense. He hates it.

I blame it on my recent diet where depravity of sugary stuffs probably trigger an even more need to be covered in sweet sugary scent. I used to get my kicks from Body Shop’s Vanilla range. Somehow some genius up in the Body Shop boardroom made the decision to discontinue the Vanilla range. Yes, they still keep the Vanilla perfume oil but the Vanilla lotion is gone… together with the spray.

In my desperate bid to be sickly sweet, I started looking around for alternatives. I found one brand called Demeter but Victoria Secret (the reseller) don’t deliver them outside US. In the end, I settled for this lotion from VS called Mood - Sweet Craving and Vanilla Orange bodywash.

Can’t wait for them to arrive at my doorstep. I sure hope I won’t be disappointed. According to their description, Sweet Craving is a combination of Vanilla and sugary scent. Dang, I’m game hearing that. No idea what they actually smells like though. That is the downside of purchasing scents over the net. You can’t smell them to know for sure.

Talking about sweet sugary stuffs, I find that smelling all sweet does satisfy my sweet tooth and keep me from breaking my diet. Heck, if I can’t eat it, at least I still can be smother in it. Maybe I’m psychologically satisfied. Whatever rocks my boat, right?
